I've looked over a bunch of Hand Signals in the last few days/weeks. There are slight discrepancies in each set I've looked at. Everyone disagrees with one set of signals or another.
So, here's my questions:
What are PROS and CONS of using Hand Signals? What signals should we use?
My answers:
| PROS | CONS | | Silent | Hard to see | | Somewhat Universal | Only somewhat universal | | Long-Distance | Must maintain LoS | | Hard for the enemy to intercept | If he sees it, he can read it |
I think we should use the basics.
Things to define types of movement Things to define types of enemies sighted Things to define unit commands (Halt, March, etc)
Then the Verbs (I, see, hear, etc)
| I was only wrong once, and that's 'cause I thought I was wrong.

There're lots of different hand-signals out there.

after participating in numerous games i can say radios spend as much time down ,or out of range,or on the wrong channel,or someones PTT is jammed on,or the headsets/mics/PTTs don't work as they do actually being usefull.also ,at most games most folks spend way too much time on the radio without relaying anything usable. there's a reason hand signals have been in use for more than 60 years and it's because they work.....at the short distances in airsoft you shouldn't be out of LOS of the rest of your team when attacking and if the enemy is close enough to read your hand signals it's either because he isn't being suppressed or he's in a position to shoot you that you haven't noticed yet..lol...
and i hope you were kidding porno...lol...those aren't real ones....

MMMM I geuss thats true we used basic walkies in paintball and it worked well our team was all very mature and with win every game every time kinda mentality so we did little horse play. But yes I can see where me being new if we played together and I got a good sneaky kill id be all over the VOX with "holy shit guys did any of you see that I just took (any name here) out like hardcore......" so on and so forth but yes hand sigs are good to make some up turn them into a small book and pass them out and have them for sell at daves for a buck or two.also you got to print out pronos hand sigs and post them at dave like in the restroom good stuff
