When I insert a CO2 can into the mag, and then screw the thing in to pierce the neck, all the CO2 leaks out before I can use a mag of ammo (17). The first time I did it, all the CO2 started hissing out the valve (not the one on the cannister, but the one on the mag), and my hand got frozen. My hands were numb anyway, because it was cold outside. So I ended up wasting two cannisters of CO2 on two mags. The package says that it's supposed to fire 150 rounds per can. I forgot what the gun make and model are. I wrote it down on a card before I left for work, but I must have left the card at home. Does this sound like user error, or malfunctioning equipment?

Sounds like malfunctioning equipment. Were exactly does it leak? Were the cylinder meets the mag or in the valve area?
(Just to say I checked) Are you sure your screwing the cylinder in fully. Sometime if the Co2 isn't fully seated it won't seal at all.

Could need a new valve- which, depending on the magazine isn't very hard to replace. Also, to find the area where it's leaking, either immerse the mag in water- if you think it's watertight. If that seems like a bad idea, put very soapy water around the area where it's leaking. Either way, you'll be looking for where the bubbles are coming from (so you'll need to be willing to waste a can of CO2 on the project.
Uhm, so yeah, Where is it leaking from?

It's leaking from valve in the mag. I could see the white cloud rushing out like a freezing afterburner, just before it froze my hand. I did exactly as the instructions said: place the cylinder in the mag, turn the screw til it touches the bottom of the cylinder, keep turning it til it punctures the neck of the can, quickly turn it to seat the can into the valve of the mag. Then the freezing air came rushing out of the valve area. I tightened it more, until I couldn't tighten it anymore. I could still hear the air hissing out. I loaded about 12 rounds into the mag, put it in the gun, and fired them. The first couple went far, but then by the end of the mag, they were falling about 10 feet from me. It did this for both cylinders. I think I'll return it to the store and try another one. I only got it last week (I think).
