i am making a milsim field in my woods any suggestions on how to set the field up or what would be awesome to put in it because it may turn into my teams airsoft boot camp because some of them dont know much about it

The best thing you can probably do to get ideas is to go to other fields that are up and running, and take what you like from them and decide what you guys would like to do. It is really hard to discuss all of the possibilities here, as there are hundreds. Come play at our field on the 16th of December, and try to go to ReconOne game in Chattanooga, (Really awesome field there) and take what you like and use it.
We tend to change our field from game to game to accomodate the scenario we are running.

Yeah man, I really want to play a game at Durka in the natural trench system you guys have. It looked like it would be very cool.

Trench, Urban, Plains, Woodland, Marsh/Swamp, Desert, et al. They all have their good and bad sides. Mongo is right, though, you need to go to other fields to see what you like, and what you almost like, and especially what you absolutely hate. Once you know that you'll make decisions you're happier with. Where're your woods at, out of curiosity?
Also, the one thing I've noticed is the team that works the field together is the team that works well together. If that makes sense. Getting your team invested in the idea of cooperation and maintaining a site helps build teamwork and a sense of pride. There's no better feeling than when other teams compliment your games, fields, and personnel.
Well, maybe there're are better feelings; but not many....
