I wish I could be there Saturday, but I have got to work. I am gonna get with Mongo and try to hook up with yall next month. I am stationed in Moundville ( which from now on will be referred to as The "Ville). While I am here I need yall's take...should I go Tokyo Marui or Classic Army. Both have a couple of MP5's that have peaked my intetrest. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!!!!

A good friend of mine got the ICS mp5. All the interals are the same, and it came out of the box at 400fps. He got the sdk(intergrated silencer, nonfunctional) and it is badass. About $250. Has been an excellent gun for him.

Classic Army, all the way.
To me, the CA vs TM debate is simplified to Steel vs Plastic.
Both have crap pistons; but the CA is a steel body, reinforced gear set, yadda yadda yadda. The TMs have plastic outsides, and a can have plastic insides. I go with CA all the way.

yeah, Gotta agree with you there Shootist! CA can be upgraded to a 120 spring(400 fps.) with out any other upgrades, unlike TM (which requires several upgrades to handle the spring).

Well, I have to say that i am a Classic army Army fan myself but if your gonna leave it stock then you should go with a tm. But if you are looking for upgrades CA takes the cake.

if you're gonna go with stock, G&G or G&P are th best cause they have like 385 fps on some of their guns......like mine.

Mr. frijole, the gun technically is not stock, its PRE-UPGRADED you silly goober stick. I would have to say that a stock tokyo mauri will last longer than a stock G&G just because lower fps and less stress on the mechbox. Now if you just want a really good gun out of the box without having to upgrade it, G&G and G&P is a good choice but they tend to be a bit pricey.

yeah, Gotta agree with you there Shootist! CA can be upgraded to a 120 spring(400 fps.) with out any other upgrades, unlike TM (which requires several upgrades to handle the spring). Bought a little tiny m733 TM for my little tiny wife. Put a m120 in it, and a aluminum nozzle, and it shoots 402fps. Now, the gears and such were fine, she had no problems out of the gun and it shoots a mile. However, due to lack of experience, I made one costly error on the upgrade. Gear shims. In the TM they are plastic. One of these shims sheared in half. The gear lost alignment. It proceeded(sorry to give the gears minds, but in this case, I feel they were out to get me, and I sometimes feel they are programmed from the factory to DESTROY ALL THOSE AROUND THEM)to wantonly destroy the rest of the gears in the gear box. They (the gears) tried to attach the gear box, but only suceeded in eating a little gash in it. So, if you get a TM, I feel it is okay to upgrade the spring, but spend $.50 and get some metal shims also. M

The typical TM upgrade vs. the CA...
TM- metal bushings, shims, spring guide, spring, and (if you don't wanna fight with the piston) piston and head. CA- spring (optional piston and head)
Thats why I like CA personally...

I bought the CA M15 CQB with the preupgrades on it, and man, does it perform. I added a pdi170 spring and a 9,6v 3800 mah battery, and it shoots around 380. Lovely
