OPERATION: CYCLONE2 - 3 June, 2007
Georgia Airsoft, Athens, GA
www.georgiaairsoft.com/index.html This is a WW2 Pacific Theater of Operations themed game.
Entry fee is $35.00
Friday night, for the early arrivals, we will have open CQB games in the illuminated 'town' area.
Operation Cyclone begins Saturday (6/2/07) at 8AM and concludes Sunday (6/3/07) at 1PM.
As is usual there will be a raffle afterwards, and a 'costume' contest for the participants.
This is yet another WWII airsoft event, designed by and for those players who have expressed interest in this type of play.
One of the important factors in creating an immersive and enjoyable WWII scenario is the willingness of participants to take on a basic uniform appearance appropriate for the era in question. This event has very liberal
Uniform Requirements, but these
will be enforced.
You must wear some acceptable WW2-inspired uniform and headgear, or risk embarrassing yourself.
In this case:
Allied US Marine/Army and British/Commonwealth forces = OD BDU's or appropriate WW2 reproduction gear
-or-
Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) = Tan BDU's or Dickies or Japanese repro uniform
If you're not sure what that might be, don't hesitate to ask!
Reenactor grade kit is not required, they key is to look like a Leatherneck, Aussie, or Nip from 30 feet away. That is good enough for us.
Workable uniforms (OD vs tan) and simple surplus equipment (pistol belt and some pouches/canteen) are easy to come by and not expensive.
Please leave the tactical vests and lasers at home for this one.
Peruse this forum for some excellent tips and suggestions, on the cheap.

Please also read the basic WW2 rules (used for all our WW2 games)
here.
By attending this event, you agree to abide by these.
