Mongo asked me to think about a scenario for how to utilize more of the are, during big games, at Dave's. I've been letting everything simmer, and I think I've got something pretty good thought out.
[glow=red,2,300]Two Teams:[/glow] Red Team and Blue Team.
Red Team: When standing in the cut, with the base camp behind you, your respawn is in the fort to your right.
Blue Team: Your Respawn is at the Base Camp (where people in trucks park).
[glow=red,2,300]Starting positions:[/glow]
Blue Team will start at The Cut, they can leave up to 3 people near the Left Fort(not allowed to spawn camp), they can leave up to 2 more at the Road. The Rest of the team MUST Start at the Blue Team Respawn Point.
Red Team will start at Base Camp, they can leave up to 3 people near The Dam (not allowed to spawn camp), they can leave up to 2 more at the Hilltop. The Rest of the team MUST Start at the Red Team Respawn Point.
Note On Advanced Deployment: If this seems too hard or confusing, don't use it. If you do use it, then the players left near an objective can start off no further than 20 feet from that objective. Once the game starts (which should be signaled via air horn blasts), the advanced deployed troops may go wherever they want to go.
[glow=red,2,300]Boundaries:[/glow]
The pictures from 1997-2000. No telling what's changed in 6+ years. Hell, 6+ years ago I was just being born, while Mongo and Mihel were already in their late 70s...
Perimeter is aprox 1 mile
GPS Points: (From Top Right, going counter clockwise)
33degrees 46min 21.44 seconds North
85degrees 49min 49.50 seconds West
33d 46m 21.23s North
85d 50m 01.84s West
33d 46m 05.76s North
85d 50m 01.84s West
33d 46m 05.76s North
85d 49m 47.97s West
33d 46m 16.99s North
85d 49m 48.94s West
33d 46m 21.23s North
85d 49m 49.25s West
The two big Blue blocks at either end of the road are the main respawn points. The Green blocks\circles are the objectives. The White line is the boundary.
[glow=red,2,300]Goals:[/glow]
Have the Most points at the end of the game. This game is played on a time limit, it is recommended you haveat least one person on your team with a watch.
[glow=red,2,300]Objectives:[/glow]
The objectives are the same, for both Teams. There are a total of four objectives. Each of the Objectives is a respawn point, must control the objective to respawn there.
One: The Dam. (A 15 foot section marked by a barricade at either end). Worth 10 points to the Blue Team, worth 15 points to the Red Team.
Two: The Hilltop Camp. Worth 10 points to the Red Team, worth 7 points to the Blue Team.
Three: The Middle of the Road. There will be a ring of barricades (about a 10 foot circle). Worth 10 points to the Blue Team, worth 7 points to the Red Team.
Four: The Left Fort, in The Cut when you're facing away from the road. Worth 10 points to the Red Team, worth 15 points to the Blue Team.
[glow=red,2,300]How To Control an Objective: [/glow]
In order to completely control an objective you must have at least one person in the perimeter of the objective, and must not be under direct fire from more enemy units than are currently in the objective; or the objective must be closer to your respawn point than another held objective, the objective cannot be under enemy fire.
(Example 1: 2 Red Team players are in the The Left Fort objective, they are under fire from 2 Blue Team Members. The Red Team does not control this objective. If the two Red Team members kill one of the Blue Team Members, the Red Team will again have control of this objective. The Blue Team must kill both Red Team members, before they can claim control of the objective.)
(Example 2: Red Team controls both the Left Fort, and the Road Objective. The Road Objective is under intense fire, the units in the Fort rush to support their allies at the Road. The Red Team holds the Fort until the Blue team takes control of it.)
(Example 3: Red Team Holds the Dam, they are trying to contest the Hilltop and the Road. They have no one in the Left Fort. The Blue Team is holding the Road, and the Hilltop. In both positions, there are more blue members inside the positions, than there are red members attacking. The Time Limit Passes, and the Game stops. The Red Team gets 15 points for the Dam, and would get 10 points for the Fort, but the Blue team Controls an Objective (The Road) closer to the emtpy objective (The Fort) than the Red Team- so noone gets points for the Fort. The Blue Team has more people defending both the hilltop and the road, than the Red Team has attacking; this means the Blue team controls both objectives, and so they get 17 points. The Blue Team wins.)
[glow=red,2,300]Decide the Time Limit among the players a couple days ahead of time.[/glow]
Any Questions?
