The Excel .20 is the shizzle in my book
The Toy Tec .20 sample Skidude sent me from Airsoft Revolution are great also.
If I have no choice, the High density .20 from walmart, though the quality control leaves alot to be desired.

yea, I shoot .25 gram airsoft elite in my m15, and normaly the crossman .2's in my saw. the crossman aren't as consitant as most "high quality" BB's. but I still use them due to the large numbers I use in the suport weapon. I have found what I call trash in the crossman befor, little pieces of plastic. you have to look for these things whille using "good" ammo as well. just this week I found a couple of mis shaped BBs and a single peice of trash in a bag of PHX

The crossman bb's from wal-mart are ok for the price but the high density in the bottle of 2000 sux. They arent seamless and can jam any tightbore barrel. Last bottle I had jammed every time, the crossman's are seamless and have a polished look and work better in my gun so I ended up with 15,000 rounds of em and a couple of the black stealth .20's from Airsoft atlanta.

Will .20 work in a spring pistol? Or should I stick to .12, which is what came with the pistol?

It would really depend on the springer's FPS rating if it would be a good choice....most springer pistols fire within the 200's w/.12's and a .20g bb would reduce velocity. So if your pistol fires at say 300fps with .12g it may fire 235-250 with .20g...
.12g bb's are less acurate but are able to travel at a higher velocity, .20g are more accurate but can reduce FPS if a gun isnt originally designed for their use.

^^^^ what he said, generally the decision on bb weight is determined on the factors of how hard your weapon fires, and personal taste, the heavier the bb the further it will fly, the lighter the bb the faster it will fly. as a matter of fact, this principle is something to always remember in airsoft, paintball, bullets, and any other instance where you are launching a projectile at another human being. force = 1/2 mass times velocity squared(wow, equations are stupid in text form) , an m120 spring puts out a constant amount of force each time, mongo's rifle fires .20s around the low 390's(?) my rifle, with an m120 spring fires .25s ( my prefference) at around, oh god, been about a month since i chono graphed, guesstimate would be around 340ish, maybe more, im still going to get hurt, or feel the same impact despite weight and speed, but the heavier bb will fly a little farther while the lgihter bb will fly faster, blah, that will conclude beakman's world for today
edit: fixed the equation

I couldn't decide, so since I already have a bunch of sample .12s, I went ahead and got some more .12s. If I don't like they way they fly, I'll try .20s next time.

Really the problem with .12's is they jam in tight bore/high(er) grade guns. Don't know why, they just do. I've seen one to many destroyed hop-up rubbers ( ;D tehe rubbers ;D) from .12's.
I used to us .25's cause they can punch through leaves and fly in a tighter grouping. Now, I use .2's cause I like the added range, but a leaf can deflect a shot easily ( and I have the spread pattern of a garage door at range!)
It's really the users call, I just felt I HAD to chime in with my two cents! ;D

I don't think I'll have the jam-in-tight-bore/high(er)-grade-guns problem. I have three low(er) grade guns, so I'm not worried about that part. I guess I'll find out on Saturday (if I can make it).

Oh! helpful hint! Before you use the Crosman bb's, check them. I've had several bottles with "bad" rounds. They look like little stakes (for killing plastic vampires! They're real!!!! )

Now that I know I need biodegradable BBs for Dave's Ranch, where is a good place to purchase them?
I now have a gas pistol that the instructions say to only use high quality .20 or.25 rounds in. The package says it shoots .20 rounds at around 350 fps. Can I buy .20 rounds and use them in my cheaper guns? I also got an AEG, but it's not the really nice kind like everyone had a couple of weeks ago. I just can't afford something like that right now. So I got one that is very similar to The Shootists gun that he let me borrow, only it's plastic instead of metal. It's got a ton of attachments that I don't know if I'll ever use. I don't really know how to install them, anyway. Oh, sorry, I'm rambling. My question is, will the .20s work in that gun, too?
So many questions... this is one confused chicken.

Okay, the .20s aren't going to fly as far as the .12s. So in the really low powered guns, use the .12s for a bit of increased range. Anything that says use .20s, use .20s. Airsoft Revolution has cheap reliable BBs, I think they have BIOs.
