Rock screws, like sheet rock screws? yeah, they seem to work best. We have the hill done, Dave has done a great job on the first building, and we have started the wire spindle triangular fortress of doom. M

Mongo came out this morning and we went to Anniston and got a load of 15 frames along with a pile of 1x and 2x 6’s 2 to 4 feet long. Then went to Coldwater and got a batch of stripping and plywood scraps from a cabinet shop. Still need as many studs and 8 foot and longer 2×4’s (in any condition but totally rotten) that ya’ll can get to us or we can come get.
Life intervened in the mid afternoon but by late afternoon Cat, Bill and I got to working on the new registration booth. Building is an old 8×8 storage building that is wired for 220 with outlets and lights. Got it cleaned out and a desk moved in. Ran power to it and plan to move a computer/monitor and such in tomorrow.
After that took the yellow and red sided registration booth down. Plan to use the sides across the creek to build a barrier between the staging area and the playing field. Entry to the playing field will be through the briefing room which is eventually to be a 10 foot wide x 20 foot long structure but for now we will be using Mehel’s portable garage. Canvas top from the old booth will be used as a sun/rain shield over part of the hilltop fortress/crackhouse.
Slowly slowly eats the elephant… And this is one hell of a big elephant…

Houston and I got two walls of the spindle fort completed yesterday. Should have no problems finishing up the rest of the walls today. That leaves one final building to do, and all will be in readiness for the game. Then, for the next few weeks, we can focus on the town. Dave has come up with a modular building system that make building really fast, so it should help.
If you have any type of tin or roofing laying around, we could use it. Thanks for the screws Etherrider!! Saved me many trips to Marvins.
Thanks all Mongo

Mongo, Mehel and Chris worked on and almost finished the walls of the spindle fort yestderday. It's a monster!
Mongo and I worked on and almost finished the rest of it today. Still got 2 sets of steps to build and some top bracing to put in but other than that it's fightable right now. It's now got Mongo's tarp attached to one wall inside the compound for shelter from the elements. It's gonna be a beast to take!
Cat and I went back out after supper and I got to looking at the DEA building. Mongo and I have been talking about extending the building by adding another 12x12 room. Well other than still needing to add the top wall supports and some bracing the exterior walls are up and the end connecting wall is half open as we planned. Will see what we can find/make for props but again the building is fightable as of now and with another hour or two of work will be mostly done.
Looking forward to seeing how these structures work out in active play.

WOW just WOW sounds like alot of kickassness is going on there.I hope I can help out in the next few weeks after I get some time off. I am sure you have thought about this but when ppl come there to play you should have them sign waivers if they get hurt if the place doesnt have insurence cuz I would hate to see some dipshit come out there do some fucktard thing and try to sue dave, all of you cuz he got hurt. but anywho still sounds damn fun and caint wait to meet and play with all of you at Daves ranch of doom

. I am sure you have thought about this but when ppl come there to play you should have them sign waivers if they get hurt if the place doesnt have insurence cuz I would hate to see some dipshit come out there do some fucktard thing and try to sue dave, all of you cuz he got hurt. When it was just 10 of us playing, we signed waivers. We are in the process of doing an ID system for each game, where you sign in, sign your waiver(Goes on file, never to be signed again) we make your pic, chrono your gun, and give you the sheet with your name, callsign, waiver, guns registered and chroned and picture. THat way, if we have an incident, I can say, "Deine Papiers Schnell!!!! and if you are using a gun not on the list, or the fps is higher than registered, "you got som splaining to do Lucy". The player gets a neat souvenier, and we have a permanent record and pic on file, which allows us to keep you waiver on file. I need to get a life Mongo

I have a feeling that me changing guns alot is gonna mean that i will be changing cards alot. Planning on having it set up for multiple guns per player per game. So each gun you are planning on using at a game will need to be cronoed and listed at sign in. Now all we got to do is get the software done. Wolfie
