By the numbers given so far it looks like 40 eating. We bought food today and will have enough to feed between 50 and 60 should there be more coming in that want to eat.
Menu is as follows:
Burgers - 1/4 lb meat each in uncooked state. Made with 80% lean ground chuck. Grilled over charcoal the day of the event. Buns, Mayo, Regular or spicy brown Mustard, Ketchup, sliced onions, pickles, cheese.
Hot Dogs - Boiled prior to the event. Grilled over charcoal day of event. Buns, above toppings.
Chili - Cooking now. Canned but with added corn, onions, and a few assorted spices. Tobasco will be available for those wanting it hotter.
Potato and onion soup - Just started cooking. Potatoes, onions, celery, a range of spices, some beef broth and a long simmer till done.
Potato, onion and carrot bake. Potatos, onions and carrots and a bit of celery, parsley, basil, salt, pepper, and a coating of olive oil. Baked until tender.
Baked beans - For these I start with baked beans from the can then add several stirps of crisp cooked baccon, a couple of spoons of the baccon grease and brown sugar to taste. A few assorted spices and simmer for a few hours till just right.
Macaroni and cheese - Again from the box but with some added cheese, some salsa and dairy fresh milk makes it a bit different. One pan will be plain and another will have some sliced hot dogs mixed in.
An assortment of potato chips.
Iced canned sodas.
Hope this will be OK will everyone.
Dave

Dave, please put my Memphis TN group down for 5. Alex and his Dad are also coming directly from Jackson TN, don't know if he's eating or not.
Really appreciate it.

Sorry dude, even if you were a bit closer wouldn't be any way. Gonna be 2 more days of cooking to get to the point of serving. I think it will be worth it though. The 2 and a half gallons of potato and onion soup simmering on the woodburner is working on my tastebuds as I type. And the two crock pots full of chili is adding a bit to the mix of odors too. Should be a good feed. Just hope we will have enough for all! ;D

This is the first time I've ever sat in front of the puter and my mouth watered.

I forgot about airsoft reading your menu. I could not stop during my exams but while reading your menu I did. Thank you for going though all the trouble.

Dave, it was great! I haven't been that full in a long time. And I didn't even have room to get one of each thing, either. What a shame... Oh, and Mr. Boo says thank you. He really enjoyed himself and the food.

Boo, Glad you liked it! I enjoyed talking to Mr. Boo also. Am gonna have to get some corn grits and try cornbread made with them vs cornmeal! Sorry about the way the cornbread I made in the mud oven turned out. Temp just didn't get hot enough all the way through. Gonna tear that one down this next week and hope to have another one up and going by next game. I still want to cook pizzas in a wood fired oven in under 3 minutes! Later, Dave

Dave your food was incredible. All I know is that you had 4 fat and happy guys in the car on the way home. It was a great meal that topped off a perfect day of airsofting.

Dave, as always it was absolutely wonderful! If airsoft wasn't so much fun it'd be worth coming just for the food! (Not to mention the great company).
