ok i have two questions about rules on field. as this happened in the last part of the game.
1) do you have a a minimum engagement distance, such as 20 feet or so? i am confused on this as alex said you would be shooting closeup and to shoot them. and after i did this(shoot 6ft away) i was told not to shoot with in 20 ft, and use "bang bang rules. so which do i do?
2) if there is a MED, what is bang bang?
oh and 19 is WAY bigger then 5. HAHA

Yes there are MEDs. They change with gun types though. Knife 0ft Pistol 10ft AEGs 30ft SAW 40ft Sniper 50ft
MEDs are a responsibility to uphold. If someone rushes you or forces you to break your MED you can shoot but be nice about it. If you are in control of the situation you should use the "BANG BANG" rule or resort to a pistol. If you are not in control of the situation, like if someone attempts to bunker you than shoot them but again be nice. MEDs are used to keep the game relatively safe.

Hey guys
I need your opinions on a related matter.
With the construction surge that is about to begin in Weaver, I have been thinking on how to enact and enforce 350fps in building, while allowing normal aeg fire otherwise. For example, If I am shooting from distance, I should be able to use my aeg. When going through the door, I need to be at 350 or less. However, the guys in the building can shoot at me outside the building at normal med. When I get close to the building, they need to switch.
Yeah, a headache.
I am thinking of placing some type of innoucous med marker around the building, denoting range and fps changes.
That is all I have right now, suggestions?

This is the best I could think of. If your are entering the building to contact the enemy, you need to pull out your pistol or your gun needs to be shooting no more than 350fps. If you have a long rifle shooting 400fps, your are simply restricted to being able to fire into the building from the outside, or from inside the building to outside, but never inside to inside combat.
CQB courses are tricky because it is really a thing that you have to limit your audience with. The easiest way to solve this problem is just to say hey if your firing over 350 your not aloud on the cqb course. But Its really hard to exclude people just because they have a 400 fps gun.
Heres a few off the top of my head solutions that are not great solutions because they exclude certain things, but they are the least complicated, because the last thing you want is complicated rules that people dont really understand or that might take away from gameplay.
Allow only pistol to pistol combat inside the buildings, people can shoot from the outside in, and the inside out but only pistols when its inside to inside combat.
you could only allow 350fps guns to fight in structures and out of them.
I dont know ure in a tuff spot just a few suggestions you might be able to throw some of them together to make the perfect solution but all the solutions have flaws

Exactly. Since our standard is 415fps, I don't want to change that all the sudden on everyone. I think it is just a matter of discipline. I have one aeg and another on the way(I am getting an AGM MP40 next week!!!) that are under 350 fps. I think we can come up with a rule that will help folks out, but eventually, it may mean getting a cheaper stock gun just for CQB. It makes a Mac 10 or hicap gas pistol look mighty appealing though.
I know some gearboxes allow quick change, then it would just be a matter of getting the equivilant of an m110 or less for the aeg.
I think we can come up with a coherant inside/outside rule that will allow for the different systems. While we will have CQB, it is going to be mixed with being able to shoot distance and such.
THanks for the ideas M

Yeah it was good to have you today, look forward to you playing again. And Moose as for the MED, we refer to our weekly games as "nappy airsoft". We have less rules than everyone because its always been our guys playing. And the reason I said there were no MED's is because when you are getting a flag out of a base and you have guys dug in it, you are gonna be shooting mere feet from each other so its unavoidable. In some situations you just have to make a judgement call. If you can help not shooting someone really close, take a farther shot. If you cant avoid it, blast them. Sometimes we dont have a choice.

What about semi-auto for guys over 350 but not over 415. This similar to the rules Recon One use in their in-town field.
My SAW shoots in the area of 350FPS. You want me in there?
MY FPS should increase with the 6.01 barrel I'm getting but I just wanted to put that image out there.

The recon one semi rule may work, we will just have to check it out when we have a few building up and get it down. M

I could probably walk the course without cessation in fire. I won't, but I think I could.

Damn! Besides the bulkiness, a SAW inside the rooms would pretty much be like the Spartans fighting girls scouts. I cant imagine a box of thin mints would do very much against a spear.

Hmm, all the more reason to keep the m733 with the box mag....
O, I played with a m249 in cqb once...WAY too much fun!
