Greetings all,
Man, what a day today!!. Our good buddy and faithful 4/20 member Psycho procured us enough material to quite literally build a small city. This has allowed us to push our construction schedule ahead by 10 months. The area that is now the HoChi Minh trail, back to the dam, and closer back to the camp is going to be the build area. So, I am calling for anyone who has any scrape building material, lumber, old doors, old window, tin, roofing, plastic sheeting, nails, screws, bolts, whatever you have laying around you do not need. Any and all help and donations will be appreciated.
CAN YOU SAY CQB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks all Mongo

What kept holding us up was the pricing of plywood. We just recieved enough material, no exaggeration, to build three or four blocks worth of city, a POW camp, a fortress on the dam, towers, whatever we want to build, we just need all the framing material we can get our hands on. We need old doors to kick in. We can put plexiglass in old, broken windows. We are quit literally talking about 30+ structures just in the town. Alleys, covered and not, internal walls, multiple rooms, I just can't tell you guys how excited I am to get on this.

Let me put this in perspective...........
We are talking about a massive, 6 month project if the team and everyone we can beg to help shows up.
58 buildings are on the slate. It is massive to comprehend, but from the dam area back to the open camping area will become four city block of buildings, alley, covered walkways. From the main road going up the hill to the other side of the road. Fortresses on the dam, in the pavillion area, on the hill, and where the fridges are now. The wires spools will be the basis of a triangular fort/aaa position.
We are going to be out basically most of the time on weekends and some during the week until Dave's beautiful, earthy land becomes an urban war zone.

Dave is stripping them to part them out. He is going to let us use the shells. I figured we would cover the frames in black plastic. THat way, it will simulate the penetration of an assault rifle round through the average car. There are three, I think, he wants to get running for "technical" Road Warrior type cars. (Hey that gives me a scenario idea. My wife Mary and I can be MasterBlaster!) M

I cannot wait, and to think we're gonna look back and be like hey, remember when this used to be just grass and trees. I think there is a large movement coming to AL as far as airsoft goes.

Road Warrior senario sounds great, especially if Mary wears the Lord Humungus outfit. ;D (or would that be a Lord Mongous outfit)

Great news Mongo! I am sure this will go a long way to making the field into what you and the rest of 4/20 envision it to be. Don't make every square inch urban. You can run a great number of scenarios on this field with a great number of varied missions with this plan. I look forward to the great games in the future. Nam, WW2, Modern, Coldwar. Almost anything. You have plenty of land and hopefully now you will have plenty on it!
