So we all are on the same page, a Medic- in Airsoft- basically, allows you to respawn at the place you "died", rather than go back to a spawn point and wait.
So I have a number of questions, 'cause I want to see people's opinions before I start suggesting we throw these into our games:
(1) What weapons, if any, can the medic carry? I'm in favor of medics only allowed to carry a pistol or two. (This sorta forces the rest of the team to protect and work with the medic).
(2) How should a medic be marked? Some people will probably vote for the "not at all" option, but I sorta favor the "with a big red cross" option. I'd have to see how these two methods worked in a real game before finally deciding.
(3) Does getting healed\respawn by a medic cost a life in a limited life scenario? (If the Medic heals me do I drop down to 4 lives, or am I still at 5?) Yes. 4 lives.
(4) How many times in a row should the Medic be allowed to revive someone? I'd say 1
(5) How long should the player be able to wait for the Medic before having to die and respawn normally? I'd say no more than 3, maybe 5, minutes.
(6) What does the Medic need to heal someone? There's no need to get very technical with it, but I'd say the Medic needs to place two hands on the person's torso, counting 3 seconds ("Mississippi") out loud. Not sure how well this would work, in an actual games; but it, again, requires the team to work together to protect their Medic.
(7) When can the Medic be traded to someone else? I'd say either when the Medic is dead, and only at the respawn point; or only in between games. (Depending on if you're playing a long or short game).
(8) What happens when the Medic dies? He must go back to the respawn point, and await respawn as normal.
Okay, other opinions/questions on this?
