What do you think about a tactical shemagh? They are being worn by Special Forces in Afghanistan and Iraq. They are worn to keep sand, dust and BB's (grin) out of the face and mouth.
Since it is so hot during the summer, I thought this would be a good alternative to a paintball mask, when it is worn with goggles or glasses.
I am thinking about getting one, but wanted to see what you thought.

I had the same idea...
PREPARE TO SWEAT!!!
Just take the bb's to the face...in reality nobody should be shotting at your face anyways...and if they do...channel that pain into respawning.

At the site we play at, near Anniston, we're required to have "minimal cloth covering" over our faces. This was the result of a number of welts on one person, and a purple bruise on the cheek of another. Accidents happen, better safe than sorry, and all that. One of these Shemagh's shouldn't be too hot, if you make it out of the right material.

actually man, i wear more cloth than that wrapped around my face(josh) in fact i just cut the inner lining out of it to cut down on the thickness. its not really that bad at all, the real problem or annoyance is with mine, is that it traps co2( this one will too) around the mouth and nose area, personally i REQUIRE moving air to breath and it becomes a problem for me when i get too heated, which leads into my next problem that comes up IF and ONLY IF i overheat(of course its onyl my own psyche causing it) the cloth tends to bunch up and tighten around the neck, causeing me to go into what mongo described as helmet panic. my discription was midgets tied around my neck trying to choke me to death. but anyway man, i like it, im gonna make one right now out of the cloth i have and see how it goes.

wow! so i just took my normal headwrap and tied it in that manner and its exactly the right size:D i can cover my face either way i please now, YAY!~ mini review- this method is rather loose, in a good way too, as long as the 2 "tails" are wrapped around the crown of the head and tied well, it will hold perfectly and afford as much comfort as you want, this method also makes adjustment to the band around the head or the front of the face much easier. in fact, now that i know the name of the thing, im probly gonna order myself a couple of the od/black ones, now i can start working on a ww2 period german ss/tanker's uniform:D

I'm thinking a light version of a ski-mask (and maybe a mouth piece) is gonna be absolutely perfect... maybe have to use a scarf to cover my neck, though....

actually, im prolly about to make myself a new uniform(crye sells multi cam fabric in all weights) and ditch the whole ninja mask/ shemagh vibe, ninja mask bunches at the neck and chaffs/chokes, and the shemagh is hard to make look cool(=P)what im thinking is im gonna get a boonie hat, make a collar for the "blouse" of my new uniform about 4-6 inches tall in the front, to cover in front of my lips, and go with this, www.lapolicegear.com/sprewr.html this recon wrap doohickey can cover my face/head in a whole bunch of different ways, and its soft, breathable, light and comfortable, wish it wasnt synthetic and it came in multicam, but whatever

Yeah, that does look good. I'm gonna go to academy sports, tonight and see if I can't find a net like what Houston uses.
