Event Story Line:
History: In the fall of 2006 U.S. forces were deployed to the then break away country of Borno in South Africa. Unofficially operating in Nigeria the engagements were fierce. The pentagon code named the operation "Ill Wind". During these operations a U.S. nuclear weapon was secured by the Nigerians. Before U.S. forces could locate and destroy the weapon, a liberal U.S. Congress learned of the unapproved operation, cut all funding, and forced all U.S. troops to be recalled without the nuclear weapon of which congress still has no knowledge. Meanwhile the pentagon has issued an internal, eyes only Empty Quiver report (A reporting term to identify and report the seizure, theft, or loss of a U.S. nuclear weapon).
Update 15 January 2007: Pentagon intelligence has learned that the Nigerians have sold the U.S. nuclear weapon to Chechen rebels. The rebels have representatives in Nigeria and have acquired the weapon. Expecting the U.S. to attempt to intercept any movement of the device they are gathering a force to send in order to support the export of the purchased nuke. Intelligence has been unable to locate the weapon, but reports that the rebel force will arrive in Nigeria around 11 May 2007. The pentagon has begun to prepare for Operation Empty Quiver yet another unapproved operation. Let's hope congress doesn't find out this time!
