MASH is proud to announce Operation Empty Quiver, scheduled for November 10-11, 2007. This mil-sim event will be an overnight game with camping in the field and night time engagements. We have established an advisory team to help in the plot line and mission planning comprised of military and law enforcement veterans, airsoft players, and pyrotechnicians to bring you the best game we can at an affordable price. Early check-in and chronographing will be Friday, Nov. 9 at the offsite parking / camping area (Ill Wind vets will remember where this is). For additional information please check out our new site at milsims.net and save the dates.

OK, I can finally let this cat out of the bag. Last night I met with my pyro crew and we finalized the product list for OpEQ. We're not talking M80's and bottle rockets either. I didn't want to say anything until I knew for sure what we were doing, so here you go. I think you will be pleased with what we have in store.
I was also asked to remind everyone that you will be camping in the field for this event as well. This means that you will need to pack EVERYTHING you need for an overnight stay in the backwoods of beautiful Marshall County, TN. Firewood will be provided and burn pits for each team will be in place when you get there. Each FOB will also be equipped with special amenities to make your stay more pleasant. It's a surprise, so I don't want to spoil anything.
On a similar note, MASH will be closing down the weekend before our next Red vs Blue game for a build / work day (Oct. 6 and 7). If you are in the neighborhood and are a glutton for manual labor feel free to drop on in. We will be tackling a number of projects, both large and small so even if you are not a master framer you can still find something to do. Be advised there will probably be heavy equipment in some areas so be cautious.
Thanks again, Spectre

For those of you who have already registered to attend Empty Quiver, we have something new to occupy your time between now and then. As a way of keeping things interesting, and saying, "Thanks" at the same time, we are offering a simple guessing game open to all registered participants. Take a look at a picture of a prop to be used in the event, be the first to correctly identify it via email (the link is on the milsims page) and you will be awarded a prize just for being that good. The image will change weekly, so be sure to look often. Prizes will be given during the closing ceremony on Sunday 11 November.
In addition, we have started adding information about the doorprizes being offered for EQ. You can see what's in store as of now, and check back again later as more items are added. I hope you like what you see.
While you're online, check out the new pics of the field upgrades we've made. New tire bunkers and extra sandbags have been added around the place for a more "lived in" look. We're not done yet, but the pics give you an idea of what we're working toward. The images can be viewed at the MASH site.
Thanks again for your support.

Just a friendly reminder that this Saturday is the deadline for Empty Quiver registration. Be sure to add your name to the list. Also, we have orderd extra chem lites / snap lights for use during our night missions. These missions will run until around 2300 hrs, so be sure to dress and equip accordingly. Thanks to the Black Legion, we will have portable generators in each camp for electrical power in case you need a charge during the night. For those of you who have registered already we have a new picture to identify at the milsims web site. Since our first prop was not identified, the prize will roll over to this one. The first registered player to accurately identify the prop used in the picture will get both prizes at the close of the game on November 11. Take a look at milsims.net/id and see if you can figure it out. Good luck and thanks for your support. Spectre

OK, we have a new opportunity for those of you who like to sneak around. We will be introducing Stealth Kills into the game play. If you have a rubber training knife, and the skills to pull it off, you can earn extra points for yourself by slipping up on your opponent and eliminating them. This element has just been added to the game, so you won't find any rules about it in the Player Pack. We will have rules posted online for your review and download ASAP, and we will review them prior to the game as well. Also, on a totally different note, some of the members from the Sons of Thunder have offered to hold a small church service / memorial service to remember the men and women in uniform who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Services will be held at a neutral location on the field around 0700 - 0730 Sunday morning. I'm sure many of us will still be awake at that time.

Just a little note to let everyone know that Empty Quiver prep is winding down. Each FOB is outfitted with a firing range and PortaJohn and we will try to put the final touches on screened in aid stations at each FOB tomorrow. The stations will act as spawn points, but will be screened in to allow removal of goggles, if necessary. There is also a third aid station on the eastern part of the property. These are in addition to the regular spawn points.
We will also have a registration tent setup tomorrow at the offsite location with a portion of it dedicated to chronographing and another portable toilet there.
With all the extra work load this week I have not been around my computer to update forums or sites very much but I will try to bring the roster up to date in the next 24 hrs.
Thanks again for your interest in our event. I look forward to seeing you all this weekend.
