In airsoft, unless you're in a CQB enviroment, or have tons of money to throw away, nades are really quite pointless. The firecracker versions are great fun, but they are still firecrackers and could potentially cause serious harm. We used to use rubber training grenades (could use a Tennis ball really) and a ref would determine who would have been in the blast radius. This works great if everyone is on the same page, but as soon as someone argues the issue, proximity killing gets to be a big problem.
Close range/CQB: Use a pistol. In our past CQB games we allowed up to a 350 fps (semi Only) and Stock Marui (full auto).
Midrange: M14, Ak47, M16, Aug (basically a long barreled AEG) but airsoft is about looks and fun: so...I like the M4.
Support weapons depend upon your definition of support. A basic aeg with a solid rate of fire, one that buttons people up, is all you need, especially if you use high caps. If you're into the milsim thing, then you basically have to have a LMG like the 249 or RPK.
hope that helps...

Airsoft grenades can be made in several ways and they also can be bought. I'm cheap, so this is my stab at them.
purchase m-60, m-70, m-90, Dixie dynamite any type of water proof firecracker in these dimensions, 1"x.4".
find some BBs. this is when I have used cybergun BB and they work great! .12g glow in the dark.
construction paper will work but I used cardboard. try to cut between the exterior walls down the cross sections of the card board. _______________ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ <---- cut here _______________ ^ to get this
1 glue the CB paper into a tube. 2 fold in one side of the tube and glue 3 place some BBs at bottom of the tube 4 place m-70 in tube 5 fill up the rest of the tube with bbs 6 make sure the wick sticks out 7 fold the tops of the tube and glue. i also used camping matches near the wick, they are water and wind proof.
they work but i haven't tested them to determine the densitiy of the spread or the proximity.
hope this helps mateba
