Be Cool...
Stay in School....
And pay special attention to spelling. You'll never be taken seriously until you present yourself that way.
Not being a Hasshole...just being honest.

o and some something that might be fun to know the human mind is able to do alot of things including : opon raeding a sentance that doesent make any sense at all it can fill in the blanks switch words out and do spell check all at the same time for example i give you this statement:teh atc lkwed owdn het road______ it ellf toin a trap made __ a muanh owh was very crleu what you would 1st think is am i crazy then after you go over and carfully read what is posted thatdoesent make sense you will find that you can understand what i posted
o and i am not translating that sentance so if you can figur it out than post it and you win the game
try to read this at least 3 times befor posting AND YES I KNOW THAT THIS IS A RUN ON SENTENCE

We shouldn't have to decipher what you are typing. It takes little to no effort to type correctly or spell correctly. I could spell correctly and use right punctuation in the 5th grade. Upon reading your reasoning it seems like you are selfish for typing the way you do b/c you said "I could slow down and make sure I spell everything right with correct punctuation" but you said you didn't want to do that and everyone should just decipher your messages. I think that's selfish of you, b/c instead of doing what you SHOULD do (write like a normal English speaking human), you put a burden on everyone else.
I am not trying to be an "hasshole" either btw. I also have successfully helped start a team, so I would pay attention to advice from me, Rook, Electricblu and Mateba. You probably could avoid some pitfalls, stumbling blocks and poor decisions if you did.

Thats the best way to get knowledge, rugia. We could sit here on the forums and tell you what to do but i think you get the most out of just playing the game. The longer you play the more you will know. With that said youll quickly learn tactics and what to do and not to do simply from playing every sunday. Then you can go back to your team and teach them what you have learned.
But to get you headed in the right direction here are some points:
Construct a team from honest players, you dont want to play with anyone who doesnt call your hits. And dont be afraid to tell them to shape up or ship out if they continue to cheat. because if you allow someone that cheats on your team, to stay on your team, just because he is your friend, i guarantee that you will only be invited to one OP, and then you wont ever be invited back.
Secondly, construct a team that will work together, if you get people on your team that like to go solo and not worry about anyone else other than themselves, then that doesnt do you any good either.
Also comprise your team of people who are dedicated, you dont want a team that when you call together a game, half of them dont show up. Im not saying you cant play with people that dont play every weekend, im just saying keep your team exclusive to the people you know will be willing to make the effort to show up fairly often.

I don't even bother reading what is said, because of the mispellings. I therefore know that you probably, although, very enthusiastic now, will probably fizzle under the demanding pressure it takes to run/manage/be part of a good team. If you're not willing to take the time to fix the spelling, try joining a team first. Get some experience and learn what said team does right and/or wrong. Find an airsoft mentor and listen to what they say. When you can grab the marble you're ready to grab a mate out of fire. It's easy to think about leading, but actually executing is a very difficult stay. I whish u teh bestest uv lux. (Fuck me it took real thought to write that).

Starting a team was easy. Keeping said team together is the problem.
Any volunteer team is based on the concept of like minded maniacs. In other words, if there was no airsoft team, would I still hang out with these folks?
Be ready to be disappointed. Don't ask anyone to do anything you are not willing to do.
Leading a team is more about organization and work than it is about telling folks what to do. I make sure to ask people to do stuff, not tell them.
Set your team up so that you lead for a bit, then turn it over to someone else or have a vote. That way, no one can ever say you are a little Hitler or Stalin.
Remember that when you speak for the team, it is up to you how the team is percieved. Perception is reality, unfortunately, and to echo Haslinger, if you can't be bothered to communicate clearly and lucidly, folks will never take you, or by perception, your team, seriously. That being said, I have met you, and you seem like a good guy, like an intelligent guy. You come across on the forums like a person that is not so sharp. Now, since I have met you, I understand you are not unintelligent. However, others will judge you by the way you present your ideas, resulting in, as I mentioned above, a lack of respect for your ideas.
Now that being said, Damn the man. Do what you think is best, recruit like minded folks, and try to spread the responsibility around. Clean up you presentation of ideas if you want them taken seriously. You are welcome to pm me about joining the 4th of the 20th, and I can tell you what is required to join. We have our anniversary game coming up in late april/early march, so if you like, you can come and help out and see what it takes to hold an airsoft event.
Hope I have helped, Truly trying to be constructive with my ideas, and want to help the sport grow however I can.
