If a gun is upgraded a 9.6 battery is good to go with (depending on spring power). Never go bigger than that unless you have major upgrades and one hell of a spring. A fuse is only there to stop an overload from the battery to the gun or regulate the power going into the trigger switch. Most people will remove them depending on battery/spring rate...I've been in Airsoft 2 years now and have plenty of expertise on upgrades and such, it will hurt a gun if you dont know how to let go of the trigger while in full auto mode....(heats up the trigger switch until it burns out) other than that it is ok unless the battery has problems like power drain while unhooked, gets warm with only a few shots being made, tears in the battery insulation, pinched areas in the wire....most of these can relate to a short out waiting to occur and would need the fuse to protect the trigger switch and other electrical components in the gun.

A fuse creates more resistance and therefore SLIGHTY slows the motor because of this. Removing the fuse takes away the ONLY thing shielding your motor from the battery POTENTIALLY burning up the motor. What is more likely to happen, if you use a high voltage battery without a wiring upgrade, is you will overload the the connections inside the gun and cause your selector/trigger setup to burn up. But, you could just add a high amp fuse to get the same effect....It's a personal preference thing. Me, I've blown too many fuses in various car electronics to take the chance! "this becomes a major problem with metal bodies. When your gun shocks you with 25-30 Amps when you pull the trigger, it is not a nice experience, especially when you don't expect it"
sounds bad
