Just wanted to say that the birmingham crew had the most fun they have ever had with airsoft. We plan to be at many more events in the future.
Props to saint for rolling in the the bunker with gas pistols and takin out two of us, that was badass.

GLad you guys had fun. I hope to try the tournament concept again in the future. Any ideas are welcome, and if you guys ever want to run a scenario, holler at us, I think we'd be more than happy to do so. Talk to you later.

Joseph, Jo Ellen and I had a great time playing. Thank you for taking the time to setup Op Redstorm. I like the concept and we should try it again sometime? mateba

It was an experiment. Here are the pros and cons of the experiement
PRO
Allowed a tournament style of play
Fostered Competition
Had clear objectives, and a set run
CONS
Slow for players
Almost impossible with 5 players, though one team made it through, though it took over an hour instead of under 30 mins, again, boring as hell if you got shot in the first ten minutes.
FIXES
More players, increase the size of the OPFOR to ten players or more. Decrease the size of he game components, as in move the weapon closer to the silos. Maybe set the game to respawn instead of dead is dead.
Please, your suggestions here are welcome

I think that one of the main issues of the day was the respawn points. Example: while holding refrigerator bunker, the guys on the other team who respawned were unable to move from their respawn point because they were in our range.
Fix?: Respawn points that are behind the base usually work well, so there will be some running involved, which if it's not uphill, usually isnt too bad. But we may have to brainstorm to find the best places for respawns. Still fun though!!

usually we put up blinds around the respawn, and that helps. Also, we have been planning to move that respawn back another 100 feet or so, to get them out of being shot at respawn. Also, we are about to expand the combat area, add some trenches, and a few other things. Thanks for the comments, keep 'em coming.

The hardest thing about setting a scenario is the damned respawn points. We have tried medics, no real luck. We have tried floating respawn, better, not good. We will just keep trying. I appreciate you input, and will look at what you are saying. At Bay of Pigs II, we had one of the spawn points too close to the silos, and it caused some problems, but we worked it out. Will keep after it

In the game we played, I think having the Silo team respawning in the first cut, and the hilltop Team respawning (not far) down the road towards the Powerlines, from the hill, would probably end up being the best.
We really need one of those surveyor tape measures that's basicly just a wheel that counts the feet. That way we can set the respawns an even space from the "course". The hilltop might need to respawn on the trail towards the Geodesic Dome.

for the scenario game, give the infiltrating team two medics with like three armbands each. Which means up to six respawns total. THis way you would get respawns depending on where you fell in battle and how well you kept your medics safe.
