Greetings all
Need to get our logistics together, so who is planning on camping at cloudland canyon? Just so you know, Mihel and I are going to take the large 10x20 garage, and set up another tarp over the crosstie enclosures for one campsite. That way, we can use our propane heaters to warm up a large area for us. We can make that common area(ie movies, eating, etc. and use the large crosstie area for gear and some sleeping. The campground features power and water at each camp, and really clean bathhouse and bathrooms at convient locations.(Bathrooms cleaner than most hotel I have been in)
Just keep a couple of things in mind:
The gates close at 10 pm. As the game ends at 9pm, we will have to get back to the camp fairly quickly once things get over with.
Two tents per campsite, six people per campsite MAX. We will have to figure out who and what is going where.
Dave, if you bring the popup, they will probably have a different set of circumstances for you to deal with, I will find out.
We have to pre-res to get all in one spot, so I need to know who is wanting to camp there, and get a monetary breakdown/head.
I am going up Friday night so I don't have to rush to the field on Sat, and be able to relax.
I need to know if you are FIRMLY planning on going, as we have to lay out the money in advance, and I don't want anyone getting hung out to dry. If people say they are coming, then decide not to at the last minute, we will have to reconfigure the cost per head and all, making it more difficult.
Everyone sound off. Talk to you soon

Mongo, I made a reservation at Cloudland today for my camper. I don't know where my site is in relation to everyone else but there were not too many choices. In fact I got the last available RV site for that night. We look forward to seeing everyone. Sarah (my lovely bride of 26 years) will be with us since we are actually coming down from Gatlinburg after the first part of a family camping trip.

I'm not sure if it's different for Campers, Dave- but they're probably just going to give you a colored placard, and you have to grab an empty site of that color.
Mongo, I'm definitely in.

Hell with that, gotta have electricity for war movie night. Gotta charge batteries, want water, want my fan. I am primitive enough without crapping out in the woods with my ursine brothers.

man that sux my home is 12 miles from the field, only about 900 sq ft, but there is room on the floor. I am sure 6 of you could find a spot in the dining and living rooms, that is with that big beast of a man pongo. now if he dosen't stay here there would be room for the rest of middle Alabama.
and don't even start to think you would be imposeing(?spelling?). I always enjoy entertaining guests. and would be more than happy to offer a cool/dry spot to any of the 4/20. no bug spray needed, and I have a home theater, so movie night may be loud. speaking of which, just borowed the Irene III DVD from dogsoldier. and I have plenty war flix to pick from myself.
so email me if you don't wanta ride back in the dark. mchenkus@bellsouth.net
