Hello Alabama!
I am posting to give a heads up to college students that are interested in National Airsoft Games.
In the next month the National Collegiate Airsoft League (NCAL) will be opening to allow inter-collegiate play for airsoft between Universities across the country. There has been alot interest in this over the past year of discussion between some of the major Universities and a league has finally been created. In Alabama we have not heard from a college team yet. Across the country there are many other colleges that have current teams that will be joining such as:
Clemson University
University of Michigan
University of Wisconsin
Kansas State University
University of Connecticut
West Point
Georgia Southern University
Georgia Tech
Northeastern
University of Main
University of Pennsylvania
+ more
The League will not only set-up and coordinate games and events it will also assist college teams with recruitment, funding, increased positive recognition on campus and in the community and with marketing. As an example the University of Connecticut team went from 6 members to 40+ in the past year and $0 of funding to $42,000.
The League will be set up as a Non Profit 501(c)(3) corporation and will accept grants and donations though member colleges will be expected to pay a membership fee which can be attained by applying through your University student government (which the league can help with).
If you are interested in more information or goto college and are interested please email me at: kevin.evringham@uconn.edu (building website currently).
Respectfully,
Kevin Evringham
