Hey all.
Just thinking, this weekend, with the number of folks we have coming, maybe we should consider a new approach to the Hill Assault Map. If you expand the field to include the upper and lower road avenues of approaches, we can set the attacking team with key points to attack and hold in order to move the spawn points forward. The defending team can start off the hill and slowly move back to the top, or not, as the case may be. There is a huge amount of natural cover, so we would not have to move TOO much portable stuff. Claymores, smoke, RPG, AEG, that makes for one hell of an ambush and retreat type defense. Give the Attackers numerical and # of spawn advantage, and see what happens.
What you guys think?

Sounds good to me!
You're right, of course, if we have a bunch of people the map needs to be extended so we can accomodate the sheer numbers.
If attackers have the numerical advantage, give the bigger # of respawns to the defenders; that's what you're talking about, right?
We'd only really need about four three section barriers. Put one about 10 feet up the road (the camp site is down the powerlines are up) from the trail, and one at the entrance to the road.
Set the other two 10 or 20 feet down the road from those barriers.
How to designate the respawn points, though? We've never gotten that completely figured up...

we could part two trucks on the road to designate the points to start, then say, "once you are past this point(BOX< SIGN>Whatever) you can respawn from here given you are forward of the point, ie, you team is in possesion of the ground.

Actually, We could make it a more offensive game, if we say you respawn at a certain point depending on where you were killed.... Easier to keep up with than who controls certain areas...

Sounds like fun. I'll try and get the two non-functioning claymores functioning. That way the defenders will have the use of all four mines to and could setup multiple fall-back positions. That, along with a Panzerfaust and artillery piece, will more than make up for the numerical superiority of the attackers. Personally, I can't wait to play the hill at night. I got some surprises for you guys.

I got some surprises for you guys. I hope you're talking about flash bangs... I can just see Houston scanning the trail and road with one of those big spotlights, sudden the light hits upon a truely horrific sight: Mihel Buck Naked, except for some lipstick, rushing the hill top yelling "Come to loverboy!"
