electricblu, you are right. I was talking about the whole class role of a grenadier. 203s, RPGs, LAWs, all the way down to the guy who carries an M-4 and 20 smokes and 20 grenades. But mainly about launchers and the heavier stuff.
I think the drum mag numbers are covered under "field rifles" I think it states there that no more than 1 drum mag per squad on field rifles.
So a squad of 12 could be.....1 DMR, 1 Sniper, 1 SAW, 1 rifleman with Box Mag, 8 regular riflemen. (if we limit it to 1 sniper per squad).
E-B points out a good point though about visitors. We would hope that eveyrone examines the site and looks at how Weaver plays. We would also hope that they would bring some other guns in case they needed to swap out something. I don't think it will be much of a problem though since we don't end up playing that many games where we actually divide as far down as squads....there are those few, and hopefully more.
Our milsim level has not been too high since Jan....of course my dial goes higher at times since I have a whole bunch of 30rd clips for my AK...I just never use it cause Weaver is a high cap field...so the G36 rolls out (only ever use part of 1 mag per game)

i dont think we should limit 1 sniper per team. that rules out too many people with sniper rifles. we should just divide them up evenly. personally i dont consider snipers that big of threats. plus, i am ready to get inside the sniper MED and knife them..... or katana them.

heh heh, i wont hit with the katana, just touch the sniper to signify that they are indeed "out." It's polypropylene anyway, not metal.

Before too long I will be filling the grenadier role with an m203. But I wont have more than one nade probably so it shouldnt be a problem.

I have read that M203 qualify for support roles. I disagree, nades are nades. But you do you think? Should players with M203s play is a support role?
Squads dont have to consist of 12 either. Again this wasnt discussed but if we had groups of 5 or 6 that would be fine. But, the important thing is that they are still effective and able to work together in that group. Should there be a preset number for squads? Should we stay in squad formations?
If a group of guys just show and all of them had 415+ guns I would laugh. They probably did read or website because we have some of the hottest FPS limits and they didnt have anywhere else to go. But for conversations sake, say they just show up. I wouldn't send em away. We could several things. 1) Let them have the hill in a king of the hill game. 2) divide them up evenly among everyone so the teams are still balanced. 3) Give them two lives and a medic and let them join our OP as a thrid party intruder from somewhere. What would you do?

LOL....I love your story about all the dudes showing up with 415+! I could only imagine. And we don't have the hottest fps limits. Utah (with all the big open country) has 2 fields...one that does chrony with .25s at 415 and another that limits it to 500...for AEGs! ZOINKS! I only used 12 for the squad from the background I come from. I realize that we may use more or less....but most of the time it is divide up and here are your objectives....GO!!!! LOL. The only reason I brought up grenadiers is because everyone had discussed rules to "create" the roles of sniper, DMR, and support....and the optionals include medics too. Figured we may want to give some credit to the grenadier (carried many many 40mm and the 203 for a couple of years in rangers and later in the mech units). I am okay with not including stuff for grenadiers and not putting a limit on snipers. Just suggesting going "all ten yards" while creating rules for roles.

If a bunch of guys just show up with 415 plus fps, we should kick their asses for not coming to play sooner. Then we will take their guns away and give them Terror Op's crossman mp5's just to teach them a lesson.

LOL sounds kinda fun.I'm still waiting to come out to weaver and meet/play with you people.I'm off most every sunday its just finding a way out thier lol sadly my wife dont like the idea of "some stranger picking me up and going to some place an hour and half away".But shitfire who knows maybe I know one of you from some where and I can find a ride(My wife has the car most sundays cuz she works). As far as guns go I got a cheapo M85 thats rly a G-36 clone but it only shoots MAYBE 175 FPS yes you can LOL at me I wont mind. It's a gun to play with and learn with after I get a better one I can try to mod this one and whatnot.

I dont want to limit the grenadier role. Lets discuse it. Whats their MED and loadout? Abviously it'll be alot of 203 shells but as for a gun what will it be. Do m203 pistols count? and I dont mean the masterkeys, I mean the pistols. Are they a support role or a role all to their own? I have been PMed about our Feildrifle MED. The guys is GA are saying they might not come back to AEG @ 415 w/ 30'MED and Snipers @ 600 w/ 100'MED. Should these change? Mongo, what do you think?

I think they are fine....Im not scared..... We have to remeber that even though the MED is 30ft, there still needs to be restraint by the shooter, we have to expect him to only shoot the person as much as he needs to. If he can just shoot him in the leg once to get the kill, then he doesnt need to draw a line of bbs up his/her up their body.
